Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a polysaccharide, obtained by microbial fermentation from natural sugars, produced by fermenting plants. Derived from Sorbitol, it is a nontoxic harmless agent that works in cosmetics to keep the product from thickening. In addition, it also provides long lasting moisturizing effect, and functions as an anti-irritant.

This ingredient presents a double activity, physical:  filmogenic with moisturizing properties for skin enhancement, and biological: stimulation of longevity proteins, reduction of the inflammation markers and regulation of the epidermal protective barrier (via the interaction of its glycan structure with keratinocytes receivers).
