Skin breathes oxygen.
Age, physiology, stress, smoking, air conditioning, UV rays, and environmental pollution are the main factors leading to oxygen deficiency. Oxygen-deficient skin does not adequately absorb nutrients. The results are premature aging, lack of tone, and dull complexion. The effect of oxygen starvation in the skin is unflattering and easily visible.
OXYGEN THERAPY features a natural plant-derived substitute for animal and human placenta extracts.
OXYCELL® Filatov vegetal extract is the star ingredient of OXYGEN THERAPY, designed and manufactured by Solabia Group, France. On the way to substitute animal or human resources for placenta extracts with plant sources, Solabia Group scientists mainly directed their research towards seeds of corn, high in amino acids, protein, peptides, mineral salts, and sugars. They based their work on the principle that seeds naturally contain all the substances needed to promote the development of the germ, the plant embryo. Another assumption they made was that the plant seed is related to the germ, as the placenta is related to the fetus.
History
The story of plant placental extracts began in 1930 when the Russian ophthalmologist and corneal transplant specialist Vladimir Filatov [1875-1956] hypothesized that any living tissue in extreme conditions produces and releases bioactive elements to keep its cells alive. Without knowing at that time what the chemical nature of these elements could be, he named them biostimulins. In the last years, science proved that biostimulins discovered by Professor Filatov are peptides very similar to growth factors.
Solabia obtains OXYCELL® according to professor Filatov's method from non-genetically modified kernels of corn seeds. To produce OXYCELL ®, corn seeds are placed in a cycle of freezing/thawing in succession, followed by an autoclaving stage at 120°C and various filtrations. Once corn seeds are under harsh conditions, the tissues secrete self-defensive biological substances called biostimulins to counter aggression. Biostimulins constituents of OXYCELL ® bring the message to the skin to repair and renew quickly. When the skin cells are more active, they consume more oxygen. More oxygen available to cells hydrates skin and reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles. OXYCELL contributes to skin rejuvenation by enhancing respiration, metabolism, and regenerative processes.
